NeoStrata Company
Dr Yu and Dr Van Scott have researched for over 30 years and have more than 100 patents. Their products are based on AHA (Alpha Hydroxyl Acid) and PHA (Poly Hydroxyl Acid). A skincare product that was invented by finding a remedy against ichthyosis in children. By actively working with the skin for a long period it is possible to shorten convalescence, reduce damaged skin and provide results.
Agera Laboratories
The battle against ageing skin is moving forward. Using new bio technique American researchers have found an important key to the skins youthfulness. After ten years of research the researchers behind the American formula Agera Rx present a new technique that makes it possible. With new bio technique one has recreated the skins own protein carriers used to rebuild cells, something which makes the skin thicker, stronger and more elastic.
While working on manufacturing artificial blood for organ transplants the American researcher Dr Donald Owen made a pioneering discovery: several organs recovered extremely well with the protein carrying molecule chains in the blood. He decided to explore other areas of use, and became particularly interested in the ageing process of the skin. It become apparent that the skins activity is also controlled by similar molecule chains and that the activity decreases as the skin ages, becoming thinner and less elastic.
With the help of test subjects and human cell farming Dr Owen and his research team where able to produce copies of the body’s own protein carriers, so called growth peptides. Thus activity could be restored and the skins ageing prevented by synthetic means. But in order to function the active ingredients need to penetrate through the epidermis and down to the cutis, where the course takes its place. According to new research it is generally the size of the molecules that is the reason for products not being able to penetrate the skin – consequently many skincare products lie on the surface of the skin and are then washed away. Therefore the formula is composed of microscopic particles.
Agera Rx contains particles which are between 30-200 micrometres. Extremely less than most other commercial products, many can contain up to 1200 micrometre particles. The particles are also fat based, similar to the skins own structure, which further facilitates absorption. The skin will otherwise easily push away water based products.
Products
In addition to anti-ageing, Agera Rx also exists against acne and pigmentations, all containing the characteristic penetrating ability (but with different active ingredients). They have also developed chemical peeling treatments with follow-up home treatments in order to rebuild the skins elasticity afterwards. Chemical peeling treatments have always implied red and flaky skin, sometimes for weeks, but now you can get immediate results and go out the same evening. A key reason to the gentle treatment is due to the products not containing any animal ingredients, something which is often allergenic. All growth peptides in both products and treatments are completely synthetically produced. Neither do they contain essential oils or plant extract, since it has been proven that these have no effect on human skin. We are certainly heading towards a future of younger, smoother generations. A future where anti-age and the word anti-age product probably has a different signification.
